Recently the largest man-made waterfall in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. has opened publicly for people to visit. This Project started since 2013 and cost 1.1 billion yuan (roughly 170 million US dollars).
This man-made waterfall in Asia was designed to divert water from the Niulan River into Dainchi Lake, the biggest fresh water in Yunnan. The diversion helps to reduce flooding and also function as a water supply for emergencies. They also created a park around the waterfalls for people to visit and relax.
